After the
triumphant debut in WOMAD Canarias, Azanin was invited to perform once
again for WOMAD, and this time was for WOMAD festival in Rivermead,
Reading, United Kingdom in July 1999. The performance “Keris” was
performed for two nights at this three-day international festival whereby
more than 20,000 paid-audiences attended the three-day festival.

En route back home to
Malaysia, Italy saw
Azanin with her solo performance at the Montecosaroteatro Festival, in July 1999. A dance workshop was also conducted here with the attendance of
the highly enthusiastic dance and theatre practitioners.
Coming back from the above successful overseas trip, Azanin
presented the dance drama “Tun Fatimah” for a special royal performance in
conjunction with the birthday celebration of DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak
in November 1999.
The new millennium for Suasana Cultural Centre began
with a dance theatre performance, which was presented for the 35th.Southeast
Asia Central Bank Governors’ Conference held in January 2000.
The year 2001 marked another international performance for
the company. WOMAD once again invited Azanin and her music ensemble to
participate in its prestigious event. In September, Azanin presented “A
spiritual Journey in Dance” in
Johannesburg, South
Africa.
